Responsibilities at Model Government:
1.
Presides over the House of Representatives.
2.
Coordinates work of the House Officers.
3.
Serves ex-officio as member of all House Committees.
4.
Appoints and supervises the chief Page.
Clerk of the House and Clerk of the Senate
Additional Qualifications
(g)
Is able to follow established procedures.
(h)
Has ability to read aloud clearly and accurately.
Responsibilities at Model Government:
1.
Introduces all bills for debate by reading all or part of the legislation aloud and all
amendments in full.
2.
Announces the official calendar.
3.
Maintains a chart of Speakers as recognized by the Chair.
4.
Maintains flow records and signs for bills received by the Chamber.
5.
Does not vote.
Secretary of the House and Secretary of the Senate 
Additional Qualifications
(g)
Is able to follow established procedures.
(h)
Has ability to read aloud clearly and accurately.
(i)
Is able to write explicitly.
Responsibilities at Model Government:
1.
Keeps all official records of the proceedings and motions.
2.
Maintains the official calendar.
3.
Assists in counting standing votes.
4.
Does not vote.
Chaplain of the House and Chaplain of the Senate 
Additional Qualifications
(g)
Has a deep concern for values and human responsibility in the context of freedom.
(h)
Must respect the freedom and rights of others.
(i) 
Has skills in human relations and is able to relate effectively with others.
(j)
Has the ability to plan and conduct a non-sectarian devotional program and offer opening
prayer.
Responsibilities at Model Government:
1.
Open morning legislative sessions with a short prayer.
2.
Conduct, along with the Chaplain of the other legislative body, a non-sectarian devotional
program on Sunday morning.
