An alternate is the first runner-up for each elected office. The name of this individual will be
announced at the Election Convention and will assume office if the person elected is unable to fill
his or her position or fails to attend the Mock Session in February or the Officers' Training in April.
Alternates must also attend the Mock Session in February. They must be prepared to attend the
Officers' Training in April if the elected officer is unable to do so.
Appointed Positions
Administrative Assistant - appointed by the Governor
Executive Assistant - appointed by the Governor
Chief of Staff - appointed by the Governor
Cabinet Members - appointed by the Governor (12)
Legislative Liaisons - appointed by the Governor, two for Senate, two for House.
Chief Page - appointed by the Speaker of the House.
Assistant Editor – appointed by the Editor-in-Chief
Lobbying Firms, Legislators, Pages, and Attorney Teams will be chosen by their clubs following the
Election Conventions.
